Janakpurdham, Chaitra 19. Santosh Yadav, who was injured in a police firing during a dispute over the naming of a chowk in Bhatihan, Sabaila Municipality-9, Dhanusha, has been referred to Kathmandu.
Santosh Yadav of Shaheednagar-1, Kumbhakarna was admitted to the Janakpurdham Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. However, as treatment was not possible here, he was sent to the Trauma Center in Kathmandu via a Nepal Army sky truck.
A dispute had erupted between the two sides since Sunday when one side put up a board reading ‘Yadav Chowk’ at a chowk in Bhatihan, Sabaila, and the other side tore it down. A clash broke out when the police tried to control the situation and opened fire.
