Janakpurdham : Indian trains will be operational from today. The Nepali train operating on the Janakpur-Jayanagar railway route will be sent to Lucknow, India for repairs, Nepal Railway GM Niranjan Jha has informed.
The train, which has been operating for three and a half years, has been sent to Lucknow, India for repairs. From today, the Indian train will serve in place of the Nepali train. GM Jha said that the Indian government will bear the cost of repairing the train.
It will take about two months to repair the train and bring it to Nepal from there, and Indian trains will serve during that period. GM Jha also informed that the train that will be operating from today does not have AC.
Stating that the support provided by the Indian government for Nepal Railways is commendable, GM Jha informed that the Indian government has also provided Rs 20 crore for track repairs earlier.
Services provided by the railway
The first train of the train service departs from Bhangaha (Bijalpura) at 7:30 am and reaches Jaynagar at 9:15 pm and the last train from Jaynagar at 4:15 pm arrives at Bhangaha at 7:15 pm and spends the night.
Similarly, the train departing from Jaynagar at 10 am reaches Janakpurdham at 11:15 am and the same train departing from Janakpurdham at 11:45 am and reaches Jaynagar at 1:15 pm. Similarly, the train departing from Jaynagar at 1:45 pm will arrive at Janakpurdham at 3:10 pm and the same train will operate again from Janakpurdham at 3:15 pm and reaches Jaynagar at 4:40 pm.
The last train service from Jaynagar to Bijalpura will operate at 4:45 pm. This train will reach Bhangaha (Bijalpura) at 7:15 pm and spend the night.
Indian trains will operate as per the schedule. Nepal Railway has also published a notice informing about this. The notice states that Nepal Railways has also sought an apology for the inconvenience caused to the service.
